Situated in the foothills at approx. 1500 feet East of San Diego 30 miles is Ramona.

Here are some snippets of activity on my property...

Tomatoes I planted in September are doing surprisingly well. This was an experiment of mine to see if they would grow into the Winter months....

Hoophouse back up and running, just planted beets and Chinese leek, with much more on the way...

Close-up of my watering system for the trays. Water drips from drip heads and adds water to non-draining tray, and the water is slowly absorbed by capillary means into the soil.

On one hand, I am extremely jealous of your set-up. It would be SO AWESOME to be able to grow year-round. On the other hand, it is kind of nice to have a little break from growing. Although that will only last until January, when I'll start itching again. :)

But I am so impressed with what you have going! It looks awesome!

Thanks for the responses.

The lettuce is a pepper spot?!? type of romaine lettuce I picked up at a local nursery.

Nothing special, but I just needed something in the ground, and wanted to get it going.

The wire keeps out nosy beagles and renegade ducks! :D
For me, the wire would be to keep out neighbor chickens, and all the cats that seem to love our yard. I really enjoy watching he neighor chickens, and am a very big cat lover, so I think thiat the wire will keep everyone happy.
