BJ, no, they are wethers. They are companions to the mini horse. They do a bit of brushing for us, but they are not real functional except as amusement generators. The mini horse is here to give me the illusion of still being a horsewoman, and give me something to clean up after. I had dairy goats as a kid and got the goat itch again.

that IS a great pic. beautiful country too.
being new to goats, everything is novel to me. I've just read that it's hard to herd goats - it's better to be the herd queen, even if it's just queen for the moment as you carry a bucket of goodies for them to follow. dh says I look like the pied piper. they are the coolest animals. hope I still have the same opinion as time goes by
