Comet ISON, left the Oort Cloud a light-years distance away and dared to touch the sun.

It looks very much as tho' the comet has disintegrated.

Rest in Peace, Comet ISON.

The air is wonderful this morning :weee !

(I wish I could run around like that ;).) No, I have just been out on the deck, about 1/4" of rain has fallen overnight and there's about a 12 to 15 mph breeze!

More rain is falling and there may be more to come. It still looks like it is stymied in the Washington Cascades and just breaking thru around Oregon's Mr. Hood and continuing due west. We will see if Bob can deflect a little of that further north :).

It is a pleasant 38f right now but daily highs later in the week are only supposed to be in the teens! I'd better enjoy this fresh air because it may be we are gonna get another air inversion. ~ drat! ~ I hate to wish severe wind chill on any person or beast that has to be out in it but I really don't want to see any more still air, day after day.

Well, we got a little rain and there is still a little bit of snow where it was shady. See, not enuf rain to completely melt the snow.

The air is really moving this morning and it is 34f. The sky is mostly clear but when that sun goes down this afternoon, that's the last we are supposed to see of above-freezing temperatures. Dun! Who knows when it will melt that last little bit of snow - March?

If there is some more white stuff to be added today, it had better get to it! I don't want icy roads tho' and it is real nice to see that they are mostly dry around here. I'd better move some leaves around from the pile over "non-essential" perennials in the backyard and get 'em around the rose bushes in the front yard! Storm just blew right into Montana!

I was just in the living room trying to get Garbanzo out of her bed and outdoors in the cold to go "potty." She wouldn't budge but there was a headline on the TeeVee. It said, "Mercury Falling!!!"

Wow! They didn't say if Mercury was falling In or Out! First that Comet ISON zooms by (& I mean it was travlin') now this! If it is falling Out that must mean trouble for both the people on Mercury and Venus!! Someone check the Sky!

And . . . what is this about Billy Joel showing up at Madison Square Garden? This is the 2nd or 3rd time that story has popped up on a news program . . . I mean, somebody cares????

Venus is the one getting bigger and brighter!

MAYBE VENUS IS THE ONE FALLING!!! If the alarm sounds, get under your desk if you're at school! That'll help...
