It really is amazing, the huge differences in weather on the same day across the country!

Yes it really is. We got a lot of moisture today and in a few days most of it will have melted. It's good for the worms in the raised beds. :)

. . . Cane'. Take a look at the new 8 to 14 day map from NOAA's Climate Prediction Center:

. . . Your spring dance may have helped things out here . . .
NOAA is still standing by its prediction from the 23rd! Certainly warmer weather predicted for the weekend and next week for here. I saw my first forsythia blossom yesterday, altho' I had to look quick because it may have been the only forsythia bush within 50 miles that has begun to bloom.

I think I've got these right: Here are the loops for rain probabilities and temperatures for the next short while. (Once again, slow that animation down, NOAA! You can do that at the very top of the map.) First of all, what chance there is of rain after the weekend, percentages:

http://www.hpc.ncep.noaa.gov/medr/poploop24hr.html

Here is the 3 to 7 day min/max temperatures:

Edited to Add: Just went back to look at that map in the very first post on page #1. Looks like there are a lot of areas of rain for the weekend!

It looks like spring may actually pay us a visit this year. I was beginning to wonder. Of course, it's going down to 22 tomorrow night, so winter isn't going away without a fight.

MontyJ, it looks like there will be a very clear sky tomorrow getting you from 22 to 55!

We've had some nice weather with the nicest on April Fools Day, 70. Yesterday, the high was 64 and I think it will only reach 61 today. Tomorrow, sunshine will give way to clouds and rain!

An important question here at home will be what kind of temperatures can we expect by mid-month . . ? The greenhouse will be very full by that time and the plants won't be too happy if they are pushed back in the shade! Will I have to move some of the tender plants out to my new "facility" with a heater of some sort? Just for fun, I've decided that it would be a very good idea NOT to risk burning it down . . . along with the neighbor's and my garage!

Some things can take cooler temperatures and since it is likely to remain uninsulated this year - just keeping it above freezing may best. What I'd really like to do is move the tomatoes in there but that sure won't be a "just above freezing" choice :/.

Hey, what's that big yellow ball up there? It's so bright....it's hurting my eyes! :coolsun :p

The next couple of days, up thru the weekend, are supposed to be just *perfect* here. So much to do, I don't know where to start! Perhaps I will go take a walk and make a mental to-do list while I take in the fresh spring breezes and clear my head... :happy_flower

Several warm days of rain on tap for the following week. It will be great if I can get DH to till my garden Saturday and I'll get my 'taters in quick!
