After a month-early spring, with daffodils, forsythia and fruit-bearing trees all in bloom, last night it was 22 degrees. My neighbors have had the heat generators on in their orchards all night long. I hope they saved the flowers.

40% chance of rain i guess means 42 drops...so far.

I'm sure liking the open link in new tab 2 finger bounce on the touchpad thing...

those barometric lines sure are far apart for any rain here

All day sunshine :coolsun ! I was bad, I ditched work today and cleaned pens. But I will surely pay and have to work in the rain for the rest of the week. :(

I'm getting the most beautiful sun shiney spring weather, the perfect stuff with the blue skies and where everything is either buding or blooming. It is paradise, expecailly after that last month of what felt like constant rail fall :)

Here are the latest local headlines, MontyJ:

Spring arrives Wednesday with snow, rain, wind
Storm topples 40 Rathdrum trees in 30 seconds
Neighbor watches strong winds destroy Newman Lake barn

No choice. Cold or no cold, wind or no wind -- the seedlings have to go out of the south window and into the greenhouse. Fire up the Furnace!

ETA: my freshly-charged batteries in the thermometer have worked together to inform me that it is currently 32.6F in the greenhouse.

That's a bit on the chilly side! I think there's hope for some sun today Steve. As I sit here looking out the east window I see the clouds parting enough to show blue and the sun just beneath that layer. Yesterday was a little wild. I opted out of work again and was ultimately glad. Lightening! Hail! Rain! Wind!

Gotta get on it today though, I'm getting way behind.

Nice blue sky day here in the north part of Lake county north of san francisco california. Low was mid 40's last night, it's 57 right now. Planted and watered in a wild blackberry today. half sized blackberry, unusual sharply serrated leaflets.

Yesterday...50*/39* , 0.03" of rain, wind NW 6.0 -10 mph , overcast sky . . . 4:14PM Hockinson, Wa. ( about 5 miles from us) :idunno very dark clouds formed and a T O R N A D O streanght of EFO on the Fujita scale with winds of 60- 85 mph tore off a barn's roof built in the 1940s and scattered it over 700 yards. :ep The owners ( in their 70s) said that the Insurance Co. refused to insure it several years ago, so they will not be able to rebuild it. :duc The frame and siding are still standing ! The owners' raised black Angus cattle which made a quick high tailed exit and into the nearby woods. The owners' son is now gathering the cattle as well as the metal roofing material . :bee
