I've got a tab open right now with 60 asparagus plants and 3 more rhubarb in the cart. They're on sale, of course! I've left the tab open all day, trying to resist the urge to impulse buy or otherwise wait until I find a way to justify it. I don't have anywhere prepped and ready to plant all that asparagus...yet. ;)

I've got 5 grape vines growing in 5 gal. nursery pots from one of last year's impulse buys. I still am not sure where I ought to put them either.

I did better this year not overdoing it on seed packets. I went through my stash and very carefully planned to buy those things I was lacking. For the most part, I stuck to my list.

Red, I see room for at least 20 more hostas! You know if you plant intensively you have less weeding! :D

You are no help, Thistlebloom! These are still in spring growth mode. Once they are full grown for the summer they will be touching and shading all most all the ground. Of course,
I
do
have
29
more
acres.

What variety of rhubarb Journey? I also had a cart going last night full of hostas and shade perennials but decided wisely to leave it until morning when my fever went down. That was a close one!

Oh, yeah, don't let me forget to mention the 4 bare root clematis (Fireworks) I bought at Costco back in Feb.

Oh! There was a box of bare root Louisiana iris I picked up at the same time...

thistlebloom, we are in the right place here! My original order was for $127, but I left the order for a while and came back with the idea most of the plants could wait for future purchases. I settled for $22 worth of hosta.

Hey, I saved enough to go shopping!

I am innocent of impulse garden purchases. It is a case of mistaken identity!

Yes, I have once or twice made the mistake of thinking of myself as a big-time truck farmer!

I just brought up a bag of seed from 2005. They are Jade Beans and, oh yes, I've grown Jade snapbeans every year for the last 9 years with seed from that bag! Good thing I think of Jade as a first rate bean!

I'll roll the dice again on that bag of beans, soon. I've already gotten into trouble this year with olde pepper, eggplant and tomato seed. I was in trouble last year with a similar bag however that one had ancient sweet corn seed!
