At the risk of tempting fate, I'd have to say that the winter here has been surprisingly uneventful so far. The heavy snows have all gone North or South of us. We just had an intense snow squall blow through though, the first weather alert I've received on the phone in a long time. I was driving back from out of town when the alert was issued, and fortunately was able to outrun the storm & stay just ahead of it until I got home. Snow plows were waiting on the highway ramps, flashers on.
Really strong winds behind it though; they knocked my trash bins over (but not up in the air) and the wind is whistling through the window cracks as I type this. Tough weather for those driving semi trailers, and for those around them. Temps diving down from 33 F. when I got home, to close to 0 F. degrees overnight. Brrrr....
