Well; it ended up at 13-15 inches; which is enough at one time! My plow guy was here at daylight and after going over everything with the wheeler doing the trim; i felt invigorated. With that i decided to claw my way up the hill to the greenhouse and attempt to clear the roof. It went much better than i expected; sort of😳

Once i got up there i cleared a bit of a path along the length to i could beat a quick retreat if necessary and at the far end i just “touched” the snow to see what i was up against. In the blink of an eye i was magically transformed into a Shawn White and found myself ridding the avalanche down the hill face first! Still gripping the scoop i was able to get myself back on tera firma with no further incidents.
First picture is the end of a new garden bed i had to dig past on my way up the hill, it’s 3 ft. Tall. Then there’s the greenhouse.
Next is the hole i came up out of and me standing up at the bottom of the hill, taking a picture of my trail; as my wife was taking my picture!

The question i’d ask is “do left brain men live longer”? If we do it can only be because the good Lord has a bunch of Angels on overtime this week!

Got ice and freezing rain here... Everything coated. 30-32 degrees all night/day. Nasty out there. Technically it is 1 more week to "winter"...... but next week we are supposed to get down to teens and 20's... hope this is gone by the end of this week as the sun comes out and it warms into the 40's.
Part of life and the time of year....we did not lose power so that is good.

Nothing dramatic here, kinda frigid. A little breezy out with 18°f (-8°C).

I was out quite awhile early yesterday. Three parking lots, three stores - you know ...

First off, I look out the living room window at the car. Whoa, lots of frost! Nope. Freezing fog now for several days. Nearby airport having real problems with visibility. Teevee claims down to "0" one morning, WS says 1/8 mile. Anyway, not sure when I last saw the sun.

With the breeze (& the fog?), wind chill 🥶 is supposed to be in the single ... digitS'

Were at -8f today with minus numbers predicted all next week. BUT with some sun and NO SNOW.😊
We finally got our snow load too, delivered in a a few short hours. Couldn't get in my driveway! I finally have studded tires, after wanting some for years, and I'm surprised to see that while my stopping action is great, when accelerating from a full stop I'm spinning my tires. I thought studded tires made you almost invincible? 🙃

It’s cold but not freezing here. Highs in the 40s and 50s and lows in the 20s and 30s through Wednesday. Thursday we are supposed to have a cold front hit bringing rain and possibly ice and snow before the temps drop to somewhere around 12F. Then it won’t be above freezing again until late Christmas Day.
