we have one of the clematis which is blooming again. today was warm enough it would have been nice to get out and do something, but it was also gusting winds and threatenng rains several times and so i didn't get much done.

July, August and September – the airport not far away had .31” of rain, a total for the 3 months. During the final 2 days of October, the 30th and 31st – there was .37 inch of rain bringing October’s 1 month total to .90”.

It has been raining today since I got up, sometimes fairly hard.

If you are longing to see snow ;), check out the webcams at Schweitzer, 49 Degrees North and Mount Spokane ski areas, in the Selkirks. And, Lookout Pass Ski Area in the Bitterroots on the ID/MT border – Thursday is forecast to be a sunny day :). They aren't open for skiing yet but it's coming down now and the slopes should be well covered with snow ☃️.

Ski season usually opens in mid November thru the end of May in Oregon. The rainy season has begun, cold chilly conditions, with heavy marine layer. It’s a race to get all the leaves mulched before the winter freeze.
Marine layer hangs til 2-3PM. We turn the clocks back tomorrow Nov. 3rd.
