30F-High 29F-Low
That was almost exactly our temperatures on November 29th: 30f High, 28f Low.

Cloudy days but that ended – today :). What was remarkable for us during November was the continuing mild lows. This location is just a little colder than the local Weather Service stations but that has the month's average lows at 3°f warmer than normal. That's significant. Officially, we had 14 November days with no freezing. Well, we didn't have that but close. There were no special Highs just warmer than normal lows.

One as to recognize their age and long residence when looking at records ;). There's 1985 with 8 below zero and 11" of snow on the ground for 12/1. Total snowfall for year-to-date was 26" in 2010. We have had 2.6" this time, Hey, 1/10th! High records are on different years and we didn't really come close ... just moderation, moderation, moderation (with a fair amount of rain thru the month :)). Now, I will NOT complain, not even about a 6 foot object casting 196 inches of shadow at high noon! Instead, here's a picture of a pansy, blooming beside the driveway :).

Brave little flower considering all of the insects have hibernated.
We are having flurries with accumulation.

there can still be some about on the warmer days.

when i got up and went outside today to take out the trash the sky was full of bright stars. it had been some time since i'd been able to see them and a much longer time since i'd actually been outside at night to look. such a beautiful world and universe we live in.

cold, windy and snowy this evening. a few inches of snow in the forecast. 20F and breezy... glad i'm in here and not out there... :) will probably have to do some shovelling tomorrow morning. :( i don't dislike doing it, but i much prefer to not do it in the morning and also after the wind and storm is done... i'm not sure what the morning will bring in any regards so hey, it's just another day and we'll get it taken care of no matter what.

I remember when I was a kid we lived in Nevada City, CA and sometimes it would snow like 3 feet all at once. We had a really long, steep driveway and my brother and I were in charge of shoveling all of that snow! Whew! It took forever to get that job done! The good news was it often happened during the week and the schools would shut down ! Yay! So we got to play hookie!

Not here, yet ;).

The only remarkables about our dismal days with their perpetual clouds and freezing conditions through every 24 hours, are the differences between Lowest & Highest daily temperatures. There was a 2°f difference between yesterday's morning low and afternoon high. Let's see, on the Celsius thermometer that would be 1.111111111111111...°C ....
