Thanks for asking, @Nyboy. I have started giving her pumpkin, and have ordered some Glandex. She seems to feel OK. I think her poo is larger, with the pumpkin. I dread taking her back to the vet for her 2-week check-up, though. She will probably be scared.

I don't know if this would work with dogs but my neighbor's cat Winnie has this problem, our vet said to feed her pumpkin. Since she's had pumpkin added to her diet daily she hasn't had a problem, no more trips to the vet at least for that.

Opps, someone has already mentioned pumpkin.

Thanks, Annette. Yes, I have added pumpkin. I think it makes her go more often, too. Not sure if that is a good thing. But I am having to feed her in the AM as well as PM, since she is on an antibiotic which must be given with food.

Just wanted to give an update on Penny's progress:
We went to the vet for a check up on Thursday. One of the glands was empty, and the other had very little in it. However, the contents was dark and thick. When asked, the vet tech said the glands would have been full already if they weren't draining properly. So, Yay! no need to do a follow up visit.
I have been feeding her canned pumpkin and Glandex every evening with her dry kibble. She loves the Glandex; it's got dried liver in it.
I'm getting ready to order more. I think I will give them a glowing review.
