Goats tails stick up, sheep tails are usually docked, if left long, hang down. Wool sheep are easy to spot, hair sheep get confused with goats.

they looked more plump and short so i think they are sheep. they weren't close to the road so i couldn't really see them that well at all. just these white fuzzy plump things in the distance.
