@Nyboy I have a Swiffer. Also have broom with rubber bristle. All work, Just HATE Dog hair in the house. I think he needs to LIVE outside. After all he is a hunting dog.

It's amazing how much hair a dog can lose and still not be bald isn't it?
My outside dogs with indoor visiting privileges leave a lot of hair. Especially Larka!
She's about 10 times bigger than Wren and loses about 20 times more hair. :\
I have one of those commercial floor sweepers (pre swiffer style) and it does a great job, but those little hair bunnies hide under the furniture and I have to get after them with a vacuum hose.
I can't imagine the hair if the dogs were in all the time.

Ummm ! Wanting a central house vacuum system and installing one in an existing house ( weight bearing structural supports , need to drill holes in 2 x 4 studs , or through floor joists may weaken the walls / floor supports , new sheetrock, tape and texture , repaint ) may be two different things. When one gets a quote for the installation one will rethink it :th. Yes, it can be done, but the best time as well as the least expensive to install the vacuume system is at the planning stage and new construction. :)

No, but how about one of those Roomba things? My step daughter has one and they like it a lot.
Roomba's are great on hard floors. They leave a trail on carpets. But, they keep you honest between vacuumings. I have had 2 -they do not last too long, given the price.
