yes, look up the youtube videos and instructions using the smaller tapioca pearls. i think they're easier to deal with and should cook faster.

personally i'm quite ok with the minute version and so i'm not doing the soaking and pre-cooking at all. it just goes into the bowl, mixed, sits for five minutes, stir, cook in the microwave (stirring every four minutes) until it comes to a good boil and then i cool it off and it goes into the fridge. i don't much like it warm so i have to get it cold before i eat it.
I must say I really enjoyed the sago a lot more. These puddings are not bad but the sago is more too my liking ;)

I am still not getting around that well. I had to go back to the ER last week when my heart rate went to 165 for a few seconds and then was elevated to 130s for awhile. They did another CT scan to make sure not more clots, but all the clots in my lungs are gone and the right heart strain, but now I have a pericardial effusion. I had a heart ultrasound or an echoccardiogram scheduled for the end of the month but I had it moved up for tomorrow. I have to be there at 6:45 a.m. I hope to get some kind of answers. I walk around the house but have to sit if I notice my heart rate going up. Hard to do anything. I have not been going outside and what a mess. We had snow and leaves are on the ground but we still have some leaves on the trees.

My grandson is now 3 months old yesterday. DD is having a hard time shopping and doing things without me to help with the kids and her mother-in-law is having health problems and cannot help much. I need to get well.

Coffee with two buttered and peppered toast for breakfast.
Anyone have a homemade cocoa mix recipe? I want to make a batch anf keep it at school when the craving for a warm drink takes over :)

cocoa mixed with sugar and instant milk, i think i blend it about equal parts sugar and cocoa and then add the instant milk powder but i don't like a lot of that in there so it is probably 4:4:2 ratio.

Mom likes to use coffee creamer instead for hers.

a few years ago they had some pre-blended mix at the store (not swiss miss) that we tried, it was ok, so i've been working through that supply until i have to make some more again.

i like to add various hot sauces and curries to my hot chocolate to give them some extra heat and spicyness.

some lady bugs definitely do not migrate. we have them around all winter. they try to find places to overwinter (including inside the house) and will often come out here or there when the weather takes a warmer turn.

the ones that bite are certainly annoying and not very nice to experience but they are now endemic here and won't be going away. they do eat aphids, i hardly ever see aphids on any of the garden plants.

I don't care for hot cocoa, I prefer tea or coffee but I thought the kids might enjoy a special treat on a cold day. I will try the simple recipe you posted in a small batch and maybe play around with the amount of cocoa powder and sugar. Thanks!

Test results show normal echocardiogram and small pericardial effusion, not significant, which last Friday it was measured as moderate. I called the primary care and have a bunch of questions and maybe I am just slowly healing. My brother ordered something he thinks is going to help me called Beef Organs, made with freeze dried beef liver, heart and other kinds and he bought a bottle for himself and one for DS. You are supposed to start slow and take 1 capsule a few days and work up to 6 but my brother took 6 the first day. I asked him how he felt and he told me that he woke up the next morning and his neck pain was gone. He has had severe neck problems for a few months and he said it was the first time pain free. I can't wait to talk to him tonight and see if that is still true. The company sells all kinds of different freeze dried beef organs like liver and bone marrow, etc. The reviews are really something to read.
