Good Morning.

Cream of Wheat finished but there is a selection of hot cereals in the kitchen cabinets with more canned pears in the fridge. On to the herbal tea.

There has been a sprinkle of rain every day except one over the most recent 7. Really, that has been the pattern for all of April. Perhaps there is benefit to shallow rooted perennials like the lawn grass. Temperatures can't make it much above 50°f (10°C) after morning lows below, at or near freezing with so much cloud cover. Maybe that is okay since the moisture isn't quite so quickly swept away.

Likely to be doing a little Home Repair work today, along with the usual Saturday and April greenhouse tasks.

Steve

Coffee is needed! Going for second cup. I’ve been outside, let dogs and ram with his 7 ladies out on the field. I’m sore from dragging the round pen panels from where I unloaded them a month ago, to where I set up the 60’ round pen. My step counter said I walked 5.1 miles yesterday. Pen is up and I put Reina in it to graze it off. In the next few days, I’ll start working her in it.

No rain here, but no sun either. Idk if it’s weather or something else triggering a doozy of a pain flare. Living under blankets as Randy has to leave back door open because this pup is very resistant to learning how to open and close it, which keeps the house in high 50’s. At least Fen hasn’t been causing me much grief lately and has entertained himself with his toys as chasing after him is out of the question!

I miss Heath, and his assistance terribly as I am constantly dropping or forgetting things and he would always find and bring them to me. Training another Service Dog is not what I had envisioned for this time in my life 😵‍💫

Fen is bright but he’s such a puppy. Heath was very different at this age. He was an old soul.

Sun should be out Tuesday and hopefully I will be ambulatory again. Looks like it’s an embroidery or crochet weekend, depending on how my hands do 🤪

@Country Homesteader The pic is actually my SD, Heathen, who I recently lost. He was the greatest dog I ever owned. You are absolutely right though, I need oodles of patience with Fen. He’s doing well, already finding my kindle, phone and neck pillow and bringing to me if they are in same room. He’s not yet learned to search beyond that, but he’s a baby. I just wish my energy peaked when his does! 😂 It’s going to be a looong year…

Just made some more black tea and put them in the fridge. It's so nice to have a cold drink after some gardening work - one bottle of chilled black tea, a few ice cubes, some milk - heaven!

Excellent idea. That I may do as this weather heats up.
I got into cold tea for the first time when I visited America aged ago. I am the only person I know in this country that likes it
