I've just ordered pumpkin in a tin, you guys would call it canned pumpkin

Being crap at making pastry is there an easy way of baking a pumpkin pie? I only want to use a couple of tins. It's hard to buy canned pumpkin here and very expensive
I think I got a good deal and it's coming with the spice as well

By the way, what is the spice?

I hope I can find an alternative to the evaporated milk.

I used to make caramel out of it but then learned it's not so healthy to use.

@Marie2020 i have made my own pie crust and bought the frozen crust. The frozen ones are usually packed 2 to a package. The recipe says 1 pie crust, but if you get the regular pie crust, not deep dish, you can fill both. Or just make your own.
My granddaughters love pumpkin pie for breakfast.
If you have winter squash, you can process that for pumpkin pies. I believe the canned pumpkin is actually butternut squash.

I hope to make this but it's going to take me at least a decade

I'll use what comes to hand for now, it's the evaporated milk is my problem.

No evaporated milk? Here it is next to the condensed milk, the thick stuff with lots of sugar added.
I'm using only honey a sweeteners now.

Last week I was seriously messed about with a doctors visit. I had 3 mugs of tes with white sugar and my joints were in agony.
I loved the sweetened milk but it's way to risky now.
