Having the beans directly shipped has been SO nice!!
I need eldest DD to set it back where it was.
I have NEVER minded having an extra 32 oz bag kicking around.
I have a ROUTINE: Empty bag into canning jars, 2 Ovaltine jars (when they were glass and had metal screw top lids,) 2 quart canning jars, 1 almost quart (it had peaches in it and is slightly less than one quart, and the metal screw top lid fits,) and 1 pint canning jar.
I purposely selected some very old (like "Atlas") jars bc I knew that they might crack under pressure bc of age, and they are PERFECT for dry storage.
I would wait until only the pint jar was full.
Really cramped my style this month.

I was already thinking along those lines, especially since I've been buying more of the bottled iced coffee lately. Home brewed would be a lot cheaper - and probably better tasting.

Hush your thoughts! I’m still enjoying summer. Not ready for cold, iced over windshields, no tomatoes, okra, etc......

DH made coffee for me but I'm still in bed trying to decide if I want to go outside or clean the house. It is Friday so I must clean the house.
I also need to decide on what to make for breakfast. Yesterday was waffles so I might make some potatoes, eggs and toast today.

Here is my pickup traveling cup:


It must be 14oz or more but I don’t fill it completely full for the ride and don’t use it at home. Tall, it’s a little too easy for me to tip over at the table but fits the holder in the pickup super well.

I have no memory of where it came from. My coffee cups are each unique. Oh, I have a pair from Seattle’s Space Needle and bring them out with a friend who frequently drops by and who hosted an excursion about 20 years ago that included the Space Needle visit.

The 2 sets DW bought are strange to me. One goes with a tableware set that is exactly the same as Mom had. So, when those come out for dinner with company, I am eating off the same plate that I used 40-50 years ago!

Her other cup collection is totally useless by my standards because the handle design and balance allows it to tip.

So, I have drifted off to the tableware shelves at the thrift stores, handling cups one at a time to make an odd collection.

i used to have a nice random collection of coffee and tea mugs but a lot of them have been broken over the years (ceramic cups and enamel sink plus force of gravity x 2 klutzy people). i'm not sure what are stuffed away in some boxes i have in the garage, a small matching set of four perhaps... for people who don't drink tea or coffee as their main course...
