Coffee is ready, I’m on my second cup. Dogs woke me up at 2:30, barking and howling. Sometimes they have a singing contest with the coyotes. I can go outside, hear the coyotes howling, my dogs howling, then they all go quiet, but I’m wide awake.

Ear plugs are a good solution to these way to early wake up calls!!!

Having a second cup of oolong. Thinking that the caffeine may help with sleepiness rather than the herbal. Banana pancakes with coffee on the menu for 2nds.

Carpal Tunnel repair is not something one hears about often these days. I read an article some time ago that it was often ineffective when done more commonly. The fact that the other joints in my left arm may be painful makes me think that my sore wrist is an arthritis problem. Bothering me somewhat for years now, the shoulder and elbow joined in last night. Left leg is the bad one but I can usually sleep some on that side. Not last night.

I decided that my "remedy" for aches (methyl salicylate, in one form or another) would bother me also since I didn't apply it earlier. Made for a difficult night and strange dreams. Back in my college town try to walk across a street while watching a car accident. Honestly, it was the driver's fault. I hadn't left the curb and he had to merge from a one-way onto a two-way and over reacted. Rolled it! Sheesh ... no familiarity with the town, distracted driving, and SPEED.

Well, I did make it to the other side of the street and my lazyboy for another 90 minutes of sleep -- Despite all the Drama.

:) Steve
You know, that was just short of one of those somewhat frequent dreams when i show up in class and it's a test day that i had forgotten 🫣

All you need to brew a cup is right next to the coffee pot so make a cup and enjoy the quiet while waking up.
I apologize for not checking in yesterday I was still in recovery mode from Sunday plus FH and I went grocery shopping in the morning then after we got home and put it all away we sent in our recliners and took naps for a little bit.

Good Morning.

Today, I will have to cut some mint for herbal tea. It's silly for me to buy dry mint when there is a patch the size of this lazyboy in the backyard. I'm not terribly enthusiastic about it but it doesn't offend and there are limits to what can be taken from 2 lemon verbena plants. Encouraging that we are coming close to the citrus harvest :).

It's out to the distant garden also for the morning. Not a lot to harvest beyond the green beans but the recent rain has been taken advantage of as far as it can be. Showers started a week ago today and fell on wet ground from the sprinklers. I have counted the benefit of 3/4+ of an inch, cloudy days and cooler temperatures just about double relative to my irrigation attempts. Cooler temperatures are supposed to continue through the week but sunny and reaching 80f (27C) by Saturday, we are told. It is 48°f (9°C) right now but that might be the week's low. Okay weather for some plants. Okay Plants, get on with it :D!
