Apparently No staple removal, just butterfly bandages under a big thick cover bandage. And, new butterfly bandages and general cleansing.
Surgeon's nurse AND DH both said my incision and leg looks great!!

Me...I was in a war zone and barely escaped with my life!!!
Just 2 slices of bread with coffee today, BUT, I have Cracker Barrel takeaway biscuits and jelly for Saturday morning's coffee.

DD and I made my Vet her favorite cake, a yellow (gluten free) cake with whipped cream frosting and strawberries for her birthday, October 12th, and we shared it with Salsa Party guests (same day).
I sent her home with our metal cake stand and cover and the leftovers
She brought it back with 6 blueberries muffins!
I ate two of them with my coffee this morning.
Yum!!! :drool

Finishing my pancakes and persimmon but there's more. Oolong in the cup.

Dreading going out soon to put the cans out for garbage pickup. Weather Service claims it's not been raining at either nearby airport for nearly all night but I can see that everything is wet out there. Thirty mph wind gusts and just above freezing. The forecast had lots of references to snow for the week. Then, it was nearly all removed over the weekend. Now, it's back — like the weekday forecaster has one idea and the weekend person, a different one.

Well, the exercise lady is on teevee for inspiration. I'd better gather some warm clothes around my breakfast fortified self and get with what needs to be done.

Good Morning :). Baked, chopped Honeycrisp apple in the bowl. Quaker Life cereal on top ... almond milk. Banana on the side. Oolong in the cup.

Quaker Life, huh? Anabaptists in your heritage? There was in Mom's with her maternal grandmother, a child of a Church of the Brethren pastor. There may be in Dad's great grandmother's also. That is, if I am correct in the reason that Cherokee family left Tennessee for eastern Pennsylvania before the Trail of Tears uprooted more of those Native Americans a few years later. Seeking peace ...

Wondering why I have Eagle Brand milk on a kitchen shelf. Better not  tamper with the traditional pumpkin (winter squash) pie recipe but checking online, it looks real simple — leave out the ¾ cup of sugar that goes in the Carnation/Libby recipe. I wish Mom (or I ;)) had written down when I first made a pumpkin pie as my contribution to Thanksgiving. Nothing secret about my recipe then but part of the mystery might be how I got away with using milk in a can and not from one of our cows 🐮.
