There is a flipper in Fresno, Cal. that has a cleaning crew use CocaCola in toilet bowls to dissolve toilet bowl brown stained hard water rings and he swears by it. Look this up in Google and read all about it.... Coca Cola contains 3 weak acids. Hint ... Coca Cola, Bartender's Friend, Vinegar , Concentrated Sulfuric acid, or any other cleaning product recommended by a Commercial Janitorial Supply House D O E S ' T work here in the PNW. YES, I have tried them all in our former bank owned house's toilet bowls. :rantAll of these products work IF they are used regularly on already clean or just slightly soiled toilets. :caf

I have that problem at country house with the well water. Drives me crazy, going to try coke.
You will have MUCH more success if you add some rum to the coke, climb into your hot tub and sip it , then another and another. When all images turn fuzzy ... WALA the toilets will appear clean .

well that was a very crappy trip.. rebuilt 6 toilets replaced one will probably have to replace another, moved a sink to another area where that sink was busted, picked up 2 aha approved sinks installed one, <was not planning on hanging sinks so did not bring the hammer drill> oh well job securely .installed the new mop sink.again needed the hammer drill to anchor the legs...
of course this WHOLE time that have been going up there has been no lights in 6 of the restrooms,,,no light switches in any of them, this morning noticed that there door contacts on those doors<like you find on alarm systems>. figured it was for timing potty breaks, you know how some employers are!!!!!!

have to give credit to these southern backwoods rednecks. traced the power to a box on top of the restrooms opened it up well holy compost there was a circuit broad with 6 relays 12 volt in 120 volt out. took a second what this was, climbed down walk into a restroom and closed the door omg the light came on...

somebody must have thought long and hard on this.. who ever they are .....it's very ingenious simple design.. predates by decades what we call occupancy sensors to save power now a days.

yes had a good old belly laugh that made my day.. packed my stuff up and headed home......on the way home the owner called asked how are things, told him about the bathroom lights..could here him laugh as well....

oh by the way sleep inn in hickory has some of the hardest beds i have even slept on, not a good night sleep glad to be home......

corn beef and veggies tomorrow night....

I was thinking about the door switch operating the lights when you were describing that...glad you got it figured out. Your comment on timing potty breaks cracked me up!

Glad your home again, have a great weekend!
