Sorry NYboy, I missed your question somehow.
Yes, I've made butter, but not in that churn. I've done the mason jar method, aka There's a whole lotta shakin' goin' on!
I think that person knows ding diddly about cattle breeds.
NYboy, that fence is really lovely...and also lethal looking!
Got a real good price on a set of kitchen cabinets at the Restore Store~a Habitat recycle store. Will try to get pics of them this week before they are painted and then afterwards, when painted and put in place. They were described as being hand crafted and it really showed. Whoever built these knew what they were doing as these are heavy duty construction, very tight and well made fit on all drawers, shelves and doors. I'd like to put a wooden top on it but they are for my son and his wife and they both like the top that's on it now, so it stays.
I was going to make them an old fashioned side board for that space out of reclaimed/recycled materials but I could never have made something this nice and for this price, so this whole thing was a huge God send. It fit perfectly in the space we were wanting to fill, as if it were custom fit for their kitchen. Got both pieces of this set of cabinets for $200. Will post pics later...
