Traction was the best for me, Dew'. However, it was for the lower back.

I described it here: Mar 30, 2016

Strangely ... it was on a "breakfast" thread. We drifted off ... at least, I didn't roll off the "table." No, the couple times I had physical therapy, I had to be helped onto the table, the first appointment, anyway. Should probably look into that again. Gardening exercise can't solve all problems ...

@ninnymary was describing a start to a springtime therapy. I don't know what can put more spring in my step. We sure need good sleep.

My internist retired and I went off to see a new guy. I'm afraid he's gonna be a "sleeping partner" in my healthcare. And, I don't mean that in any sort of good way. Note-taker with a prescription pad. That was how I felt with him! Difficult for me to even talk to the dude ...

Being comfortable with our healthcare people is important, too. I'll tell you what I'm thinking of doing, finding out where my retired doctor's nurse went! Follow along after her.

Best of luck. . . scratch that. . .luck should have little to do with health issues. I hope your skilled surgeon is easily capable of correcting your back problems.

Smart Red I dont have back issues. My "back" is in perfect health, it's my neck. I'm sure my surgeon will be capable of fixing what needs fixed. I have complete faith and trust in him. Yes I have only met with him once but I did not feel uneasy with him at all. Considering he is at one of the top hospitals in the country... I dont have any worries

So I learned about 2 weeks ago that I need a new surgeon. The hospital I was going to have my surgery at is no longer taking my insurance. I have to see my neurologist on Friday, so I will see if he can give me a referral for a different surgeon.

Yes thats what it is. I just cant believe UPMC has stopped taking blue cross blue shield. I dont know what the problems is, but IF I would have gotten my insurance in June, I could have already had the surgery. Oh well I'm just thankful to have Insurance again

Dew ... my sister in law is a registered nurse that works for an insurance company to audit patient billing claims by the hospitals. Surprising how much the hospitals overbill insured patients to cover the costs incurred for treating indigent patients.
