Monterey Jack ... one "r" .

With helping you on that spelling, and because I was born in Carmel on the Monterey Peninsula, does that qualify me for some of those Chili Rellenos?

Is that how we spell that? Don't try to tell me how to pronounce it! If I hadn't learned a word by the time I was twenty, there is no use trying to teach me now.

I don't have Poblanos, but I may have a suitable pepper out there in the garden. If not there are fresh Hatch chilis at the market.

My grandma sent me a huge binder filled with all of her recipes in neat handwriting. As well as newspaper clippings and a few copied pages of super old cookbooks. I love it so much! I can't cook like her, but it's nice to know I'll have the recipes always.
