I'm experiencing the same kinds of wet problems in getting the garden planted and cleaned out. It's just staying too wet to do anything in there. I am putting chard, kale, peas, and broccoli in the freezer and eating a lot of good fresh veggies. My fruit trees and blueberries are loaded. I'm dehydrating herbs. If it is too wet to do anything else I make chicken broth. It's not a total problem.

Like many others that are wet now, I know I'll be wanting rain in a couple of months. Aquifers and reservoirs are being filled. The water table is being recharged. That's good. But is a few days of dry weather too much to ask?

Bay, we will persevere.

I've been blessed by it raining mostly at night, leaving me to work outside during the day. Have been building fence. Sore, exhausted, bruises on top of bruises, maybe being forced to stay in a day is not a bad thing.. I did pull a wagon load of weeds yesterday until neighbor showed up, then we strung a roll of horse wire.

Indiana getting hammered last month. Calling for rain next 5 days, 2 dry, then back to rain.

Hated to, but had to start weeding in garden as it is green from my plants and weeds. Know I did some damage but not as much as weeds were doing.

We've had storms and lots of rain for about 5 days in a row now. The heat and the humidity are stifling. A few little weeds in the tomato patch that I didn't around to pulling before I went out of town this past weekend are now taller than the tomatoes! It isn't worth it to try to plod through wet red clay, but I am getting very anxious waiting for this to dry out so I can get back to work. This is not going to be a good garden year for me, unfortunately. I'll never get caught up. :(

We have had a lot of rain lately... the weeds have taken over the garden and my future "garden oasis" I have a lot of weeding to do while Monty J is in North Carolina next week.

Yes, maam! Weeds and grass seem to be outgrowing the garden plants. Now that the greater part of the mowing is done, I'll focus on the garden. . . after the court junk (wasted day) tomorrow.

You know, on these hot humid days, there is just no time that a person, especially a wimpy person like me, can actually work out in the garden and lawn. It is way too damp with dew in the morning, then it gets too hot and humid about the time the dew evaporates. By evening cool, it is dark. No wonder the garden gets weedy!
I think the heat bothers me more and more, as I age. The heat bothers me more than the cold, because I can always add more layers. OK, I'm done whining now.
