You're talking to the person who came up with (and attributed to his grandfather" the saying

"You can dance around the butter tree 'til the cows whistle in Welsh,
But when the sardines come two by two from a butterscotch moon and the rain smells like sarsaparilla,
Sometimes you just have to juggle soft fruit, polish your hair and waltz in the fish market. "

Others make more sense.

"Don't hire a wolf to protect your chickens from the fox." (don't try a solve a problem by making a bigger problem.)

"Dickel, Daniels, Beam, and Pouge make a poor defense team." (rebuke to someone trying to use drunkenness' as an excuse.)
