A blizzard just started here this morning.12-16 inches predicted. Snow blower broke cleaning up the last one. Hope it is ready to come home soon. Don't know how we'll get out to get it.

National WS Twitter has all big national news and I'm wondering about here locally ...

By golly! Locally a new record was set early this morning. Seems that the ridge of high pressure over the area is a February record ...

The Rockies allow such a contrast, one side to the other! Blue sky here but I figure the air quality people are right and smoke will mess up things. I don't know who in my neighborhood is burning what? old oil cans! Hopefully, some 5mph breezes will occur and "approaching 50°f" afternoon weather will be okay.

Lovely inch or two of snow fall overnight. Most of the roads have blown clear of snow so driving was super for winter. I shoveled my way to the road. It is trash and recycle pick up today and I needed to get the recycle bin out to the curb.

I started shoveling half of the driveway on my trip back. Then DH came out pushing a barn broom -- the only thing he could find to 'shovel' with. SIGH! I gave him my shovel and then got our 5 - 6 shovels out from where HE HAD STORED THEM and let him take his pick.

Still finding the occasional shovel or two. One where he left it on the front porch and one in the garden shed where he'd put it yesterday after trying to shovel the ice around the coop.

Sure, I sweep the stoop (do people have stoops these days?) and occasionally the deck, but he was going back and forth on 200 feet of driveway to the road. But then, he's 'mopped' the kitchen floor with the empty swiffer.
