We have been together every day for years. You have at times been slim and at times fat. Sadly the time as come to replace you. I remember how angry I was when I first saw you. The one before you had been stolen at Walmart. Your leather is worn and ripped, I will miss you. Tomorrow Bloomingdales for new wallet. Goodbye old friend

It can be tough at times, but we have to learn to let go.

For example, buying a new purse is a major decision for me. Much larger than purchasing the new car.

I know that you can do it. Go out there and find a new partner to help you handle your money.

Believe it or not,

my wallet has my wife's name on it ...

Yeah! Dad made wallets for both of us not long after he retired and was trying leather working out as a hobby. I wore mine out and DW had never done anything with hers. Besides, it's apropos ...

Whew! I was bracing myself for something sad. Glad it's just a wallet! That was funny Nyboy.

I simplified my wallet ways. Just carry a small leather coin purse that my drivers license and debit card fits in and any green stuff I happen to have as well as a few coins. I can stuff it into a jeans pocket if I don't want to bother with a purse.

Years ago I found a purse also that should last me for years, a slim tooled leather crossbody bag that my wallet and phone fit in.
It's nice to lighten up and simplify.

I could do it.
I never liked those big purses that are like luggage.
Everything I need could go in my pockets, but I don't like the bulk of keys, phone and coin purse, that's why I carry a small purse.

If I have to go anywhere I can't/don't want to take a purse I just stuff my important id & a debit card in the case behind my smartphone.

A couple of weeks ago, I showed my old wallet to one of my parents who loves designer brands. Told her I couldn't find one I liked. Next day she gave me a Gucci wallet! You're darn right I liked it!
