Right now coming in for noon coffee:

I'm rain wet! It's 63°. There's a 10mph breeze. So,

I'm cold!

Ha! I know...I actually turned the heater on in my truck today!
I felt a little sheepish about it, but it was partly to dry out my knee pads that I had left in the back of the truck yesterday.

My brother just fixed the a/c on my truck last week, it had been out of order for two years. I told him that now that it's fixed it will get real cool. :D

Great that the rain is finally falling where it is needed! I hope it keeps coming and puts out all the fires!

We have just had our first week without precip in 11 months. Nice, except for the 96°on Monday, yuck! Cooler than average summer though, that was only the second hot muggy day so far.

We have thunderstorms rolling through now here is a Doppler of the latest storm track. The worst so far has been just south of us about 2 miles. Calling for destructive hail and damaging winds sheesh. Hope it stays to our south and not hit us full force. The wind has already taken down some sunflowers and some raspberry canes, not much else though. We will see what happens!

The fruit-loaded peach tree branch that broke a couple days ago now looks like it will have to just be taken down.

I had resigned myself to doing that in a few weeks and allowing the branch to lie on the sunshed roof. Blown off the roof and hanging ...

Yep, gusts above 50mph at nearest weather station.

Steve, we have lucked out so far here, the storm has went around both sides of us. We've had some wind gusting and some rain, but none of the Ping pong hail we have heard about. Hopefully your peach tree does not get any further damage!

Luckily enough ...

I will see the garden tomorrow. Hope the corn isn't flat. I think the neighbor would have texted if it was. The sprinklers were on there more than 48hrs ago so the plants weren't standing in soggy soil.

The 40mph wind we had that broke the tree branch, laid the corn over but it was upright by yesterday. Dang, I've had 5 boards helping that poor little tree with its load of fruit. I'll go out now and see if I can get it back on the roof ... about half the branch is still attached but it jumped off the board and is now hanging straight down.

So, where is this rain?? Hope the fires didn't just get a blast of air and no rain.

Steve
