Ever go to a horse show and visit the barns or trailer areas ? Nothing new here !!! Also, at rodeos when you have performance horses doing their spins and slides, or calf / steer roping they wear leather boots to protect their back pasters ( ancles ). Performance horses as well as race horses often wear shin gaurds or wraps.

Nothing new to those of us who have been around them for decades, but if you've never even smelled a real horse .. the idea of boots and pajamas and coats on a horse is a little odd.
