heh, my mom is a collector of ceramic chicken/rooster stuff. everywhere you turn around in her house you could knock one off a shelf! it's gotten so bad some don't make it past her yardsale table in the garage now. she has specific instructions to not sell the ones in the house cheaply since they are mostly Maddux & other 'collectible' types she says are worth more money. :hu

Yeah, @Nyboy I was thinking about you when I looked in the box. The hen you think might be a sugar bowl is smaller than the salt and pepper shakers. Look at the picture again, it's between the them.

And yes, they come over often so I can't make it just disappear or I'd send it to @Chickie'sMomaInNH in a rooster crowing minute. Haha, I bet your Mom doesn't have one that looks like this!

never noticed one in a basket at her house but most of her collection is roosters. she has a few salt & pepper shakers too. but i know she doesn't have napkin rings. i've told her i have dibs on one of the roosters in her collection-a black one that reminds me of my cochin Sunny.

those small bowls are salt cellars. not sure why you would use one if you already have a shaker though.
