Jackb... when I try to go to the microsoft page, all I get is error 403 ! I have tried to report these scams for years to Microsoft with NO success or even a reply of receipt. Also, I have been trying to unsubscribe to unwanted adds from various junk mails daily for the last month also with NO success. All these adds show up daily. You see I get up to 200 junk mails every day. I also have contacted the Federal NO CALL list as I get about 10 calls on my cell phone per day for insurance, refinance my home, walk in tub, vacations to Mexico, etc. etc. These solisitation calls continue non stop.

As for telemarketing calls, I purchased a Sentry 2 call blocker for under $50. They were driving us crazy calling every day. The Sentry blocks them all, including political calls, private number, unavailable, phony scams, whatnot. Not a single call has come through since we installed it. It just chirps once to let us know it blocked another call. With the amount of telemarketers now, and the FCC Do No Call List being absolutely worthless, there are a number of effective call blockers being marketed now. Try eBay and Amazon to check what is available. With the amount of junk mail you get, it seems changing your email address is the best solution. I will not give my email address to just any site, I have several what I call spam catcher addresses that I use if I must give an email address when ordering, I get them from mail.com. Ben Dover is my favorite, that one attracts a lot of spam, also then I know who is probably giving out my email address. You can also copy the full header from email and either sign up for spamcop.net, or forward the email to the sender's email provider using abuse@ and fill in the provider's name. I don't know why the Microsoft like is not working, as I never tried it. I forwarded the spam to abuse@hotmail.com and received the link in their reply. Another alternative is to set up filters with your current email address, most email providers have a method of filtering that you can use, I do that also.

Jackb, I have changed my e-mail acount several times. All one has to do is give out your e-mail to a title company, mortgage brocker, insurance co., etc. and your new e-mail address and wham, the spams start to go into overdrive. One of the worst offender is Home depot... when one pays with a credit card one is directed to a choice of yes or no to receive a receipt by e- mail. If you click a yes , you will get all types of spam e-mail immediately. I will check out your suggestions further too.
