That is a nasty trick to play on the geneticist doing the testing. You better hope the geneticist isn't a joker as well. You may be in for a real shock!

NYboy will have to sing like a canary to explain himself. :celebrate

("The test may kill the rabbit!") Steve
ok if he coming back as a hybrid pig/rabbit ...we still bbq him, might have to ask Martha whats the best to do him on the grill.
being friends and all..

Sorry, major, but it is worse than that. Steve was referring to the old pregnancy test. If the test kills the rabbit, Nyboy is in for some serious pain and 18 years of support.

It was something of a myth Wikipedia tells us, NyBoy.

The thing was that someone had to kill the rabbit to see how it responded to pregnancy hormones.

I imagine that it is hormones being (somehow) detected in the parrot's blood. If the lab person determines that your sample is from you - I bet that there will be a great temptation to report something really weird ;) .

I hope that he/she will be far too professional to do that but can you imagine the trembling hand that types out "inconclusive" or something as noncommittal and responsible as that! I'd need a good, stiff drink with lunch and maybe a movie after work as reward for being professional about it.

;) Steve

I imagine they see stuff like this all the time and have a protocol to handle it. @Nyboy did you read the fine print? Are you possibly looking at additional costs?

I will keep up with this, it could be interesting. When do you expect the results back?
