I don't think DNA is to accurate, Unless they gotten much better in last few years.
I worked on some of the original research that led to DNA parent verification in animals. I raised hundreds of rabbits and chickens ( each individual animal had cage IDs as well as tatoos ) to produce the antibodies . I injected blood samples of known individual animals to be tested, then collected their blood, then processed it to produce the serum containing the antibodies used to ID the test animals DNA parentage, that then were used to identify the DNA of first purebred sheep, then cattle, and horses with known parentage for at least 5 generations. If the record of parentage is in error or unkown, the DNA test will uncover it as we used some crossbred animals as controls to find errors in claimed parentage. Results of the DNA is accurate, however, there is constant improvement in testing by including additional genetic markers as well as improvement in equipment and test proceedures.I don't think DNA is to accurate, Unless they gotten much better in last few years.
