We have the digital antenna, and other than my kids watching some cartoons and catching the evening news, we don't watch much tv anymore. Although PBS often has some interesting things on. My oldest DD and I both enjoy Nature on PBS and Nova and Frontline are good when I have time to veg.

I'm glad you are finally getting those teeth looked at Marshall. How are your nerves when you're sitting in that chair?

The numbers vary from one area to another. You should have a guide there with the TV. Here, NatGeo is 186, and Animal planet is 184, for instance, but they probably aren't that number where you are. The history channels are 120 and 121. From 100 to 200 are most of the premium channels--at least here.

Just took a walk to mcdonalds. ordered exactly and precisely a double quarter pounder with cheese, repeated that twice and said only the burger and not the meal, then a chocolate chip cookie, and he said 3 chocolate chip cookies, i said one, and a large chocolate shake. im number 199, but its ready soon as i sit...

sit down with it, a double quarter pounder meal is on it! No cookie at all, and the large choc shake is there, and there's a cup for a drink!!!

Went back and the shift manager fixes things. when the kid hands me the stuff, i poltely told him that when he's my age, he is definitely going to need hearing aids, badly.

Or are they doing this on purpose these days?

No they are not doing it on purpose, they are just doing it because they dont pay ATTENTION!!!! maybe they are new and dont know how to ring up just a single burger??? I know those new registers are more complicated than they need to be.

Glad you can eat something today!!!

Good to hear that things are moving in a positive direction. Yeah TV stinks for the most part. Nature programs are usually good.

Marshall, TV these days just ain't much. DH watches TV and I am in my recliner on TEG. We're both happy. Glad you are getting your teeth taken care of. What a journey just to get to town! I bet you'll be glad to get back home!

Marshall, hope your appointment/treatment is quick and painless. Well, at least less pain than what you are currently feeling. Hope that in a few days you are feeling much better.

i hope you'll be pain free/less once they take care of your teeth. it's not fun having tooth pain, it can make it difficult to focus on what needs to get done because you're too focused on that pain instead.

What worried me most about it was when he said he was at the end of his physical reserves. Different people can handle pain better than others but when somebody like Marshall is at the end of his reserves, its worrying.

Marshall, I dont know if this thread helped you decide to get it taken care of or not. But like I told VFEM recently, we want you here for the long haul. Take care of yourself and let us know how it is going.
