This link may interest some, especially if you share an interest in more than just the fruit! This site has some interesting articles, a lot of which i Would agree with.
I’ve used several products in they’re nutrient line with decent results; however these days i‘ve moved toward a more self sustaining arrangement.

So, this all started for me on April 20th; the day i populated the greenhouse. Now it’s not quite a month later and some of the greenhouse stuff is doing fine. In order - Self heal, Mat-su express tomato, Morovski Div tom and some supertunia’s, Stupice tom with a Celebrity tom on the floor in front, cucumbers and bush beans.

This is the first year i’ve not had green beans by Mother’s day and yet we still consider all this a huge blessing and are feeling good about the coming season!

@heirloomgal, here’s the cukes last year at this time. I’ll be eating those in there right now in another 4 days; then it will be a steady stream till mid October. (Sweet Success) Those beans are Jade bush beans and i’ve also got sychelles pole heans that will be our main bean crop.

The Tomatoe’s are an experiment this year, using a single runner on a string; link included.

Up at sunrise this morning and while waiting for the ice cream maker to crank out a couple gallons; i took a stroll!

The Kale, Cabbage and Broccoli never missed a beat on transplant day and still look fine a few days later. My Celebrity and a Stupice have set fruit and it appears my first greenhouse produce may be some yellow summer squash This year.

Happy Mothers Day!

Later this morning i moved out this group of starts for they’re hardening period and got a great bee shot along the way. They spend a lot of time on the Self Heal gathering nectar.

I can't get over the transformation from snowy scenes to lush vegetable starts Alasgun-- wow. And I am curious about Stupice, which is a new tomato for me this year. When I bumped them up yesterday I noted the sparse foliage on this 'potato leaf' plant, and for some reason I assumed that the foliage would thicken up as they grow-- but in your photo of Stupice I am not seeing a lot of leaves. Mostly there is a lot of stem. Have you grown it before, and do you have any tips for success with this variety perhaps?

@Branching Out, good morning, the Stupice and the Morovsky Div are both related and claim’s like earliest, compact, heavy producer etc are what drew me in. They are both new to me as well but im trying them along with a couple standards AND using a different grow method. This year they‘re all on an adjustable string and im trimming the lower folage as the heaviest production zone moves up the plant. The goal is to check production against my usual growing method which is to just pick a nice one and let them go, not pruning even suckers!
This picture is of ONE Celebrity plant. The greenhouse is 12 ft wide and 10 ft tall. This plant touched both sides and once it reached the top it grew out to the front 8 ft.
It’s kinda funny actually, there’s only a couple old folks (us) eating them and we only do so 2-3 times a week so about anything will work for us; i just have to be different sometimes!

It’s been raining and quite chilly. So i spent the day “Vine Dressing” and enjoyed myself immensely! Along the way i turned the de-humidifier on and the exhaust heat from this unit is enough heat that the Toyo wont come on when the de-hi’s working. Win, win.
Once this low passes; we’ll get the rest of the starts in the ground. The greenhouse is a lot more fun once all the temporary stuff is gone each spring.
