Question About Bee Keeping

We have to pre-order the chicks. Now they offer bees as a pre-order as well. No way they're keeping swarms of bees on hand for walk-ins to decide to take home with them. Chicks are a bit easier to 'unload'.

no we have talked about a couple times over the years,so seeing the flyer took a picture of it sent it off to the dw at work, after reading their web site we agreed to go...

How much honey does anyone use. By the time you buy everything you need ($600+), it is cheaper to go a local bee keeper and pay him.

thats why we are going to it, see if it's really something we want to do... rather spend $35 now than $600+ and a year later find out it's not for us....
if it is something we want to do we will sell, trade, or give it as presents....

Around here, local honey has really gone up in price. I think it is $14 a quart now. But at least I know it is real honey, and not sugar water from "who knows where."

I have read it twice, very funny. The garden is in Cold Spring about 30 minutes from me.

well that sucks heard back from them today. it's not a 1 day class it's a 6 week class, they apologized that the flyer was miss leading. he said we would be welcomed to come.. but the next 6 week classes are next spring.... so with that said told him we will see them next year, so we can do the whole class<hate only getting half the information>.. oh well had good intentions..
