Maybe that works in more civilized areas? The man just laughed and said he'd pay me back but that never transpired. He was doing a lot of meth back then, so everything was pretty much funny to him. Can't get blood out of a turnip, my granny always said.

My worry is raccoon pulling body parts though wire. So I used hardware cloth. So your saying Harvey needs a friend.

I think we used hardware cloth too. Well, you have to be careful about friends. Lol. I don't know if it is true or not. I have worried about what I will do when only 1 is left. I know when the neighbors turned their rabbit loose, he came over to the hutch and stayed underneath and he would go around and around, stand on his hind legs trying to see in. It was cold and one of our rabbits died, so we put him in and he was so happy. I put them out in a pen, but I cannot trust them. I heard males would kill each other, so I have only put the males out alone, but the females fight. I put the bully up and leave 2, and then one of the two will turn into the bully and one ends up not having fun and would be better off in the hutch.

@Nyboy, you'll have to excuse bobm's curmudgeon-ly attitude. He's having withdrawal from grandbaby visit.

A week ago my almost 6 year old grandson, 2 year old granddaughter and our 4 week old grandson took me to a city zoo to give me lessons on wild elephants, giraffes, lions, tigers, sea lions and many more . I got a really rounded education ! They took grandma and me to lunch and dinner another evening. We are going shopping tomorrow and lunch at McDonald's too. We are staying at the twins house so we have been having tons of fun every time they wake up from a nap every 3 hours around the clock to have diapers changed and enjoy a bottle of white liquid refreshments then a burp and telling me and grandma the events of the day . We are still here in Cal. having fun around the clock !

As to Rabbit bedding, we use to give them News Paper. they would tear it up and make the bedding. Rabbits don't stupid you know!

@Nyboy, you asked me for a photo of Rusty's pen. Here's the one he had outside the chicken coop during the summer. It was a purchased hutch that came as part of his belongings. The hutch is seen here: HUTCH

And here is his pen inside the coop -- safe and warm for the winter.

Yup, it is a wire cage. I did put a piece of wood for flooring under and in front of his purple 'bed' since he always used the same area in the back corner for his bathroom.
