Way to go @Carol Dee! You are such an inspiration. Tell us how the journey has been? Has it been super hard to give up your favorites? What is your goal? And did you start in January? Can't remember.

Mary
Yes I joined Jan. 4th. No BIG goal set. Just looking ahead to #50 then #75 and so forth. More than the number on the scale, I want to fit in a booth, theater seat, etc. And get the smaller clothes out of storage. ;) So far it has been easier than even I thought it would be, I can pass on deserts, sweets, pizza, etc... all things I used to eat WAY To much of.

Passing up sweets is very hard for me to do. I do have a mantra that "it has to be worth the calories". Unfortunately I have become very selective and have no problem discerning them. I have purposely stayed away from making red velvet cupcakes and chocolate chip cookies with nuts. Those are my weaknesses and I used to bake and freeze them to make them last and so that I won't eat so many. Do you know how fast I can defrost them? Heck, the cookies I've found need no defrosting!

You have to be even more selective. Yeah!

Something like: "Cookies that have touched plastic have no place in my menu!" I'm assuming that the cookies went in plastic before being frozen ...

Then, you can claim high selectivity and privilege; turn up your nose at most everything at the soopermarket bakery. Yeah.

Steve
isn't he the gardener who starts seed in used cookie boxes ...?

Ha, Steve, yes I put red velvet cupcakes and cookies in plastic containers to freeze. I'm doing good though, I no longer buy stuff from stores or even bakeries for that matter. I find that my homemade ones are so much better and way less ingredients. I even cut the amount of sugar and the taste is still very good.

I'll let others eat cookies from store containers so that you can continue to have a good supply of them. ;)

I can't be too selective otherwise I may go down to the 90lbs. I weighed at age 25 when I got married. Thank goodness my husband found me attractive back then! :D :p

Cookies in the freezer???? Ha! I have half the dough eaten before they even make it to the oven! That way I don't have to freeze any because there isn't very many......
