Seed catalogs are my JCPenney's Christmas toy catalog~remember that...oh, the dreaming!!!!!..... so when I don't get any, I'm left with the internet for my garden dreaming...it's just not the same. :(

No it isn't! I like the hands on, turn the page, turn back, compare two catalog offerings, etc. Then I like to cut out photos to go with the garden notebook info for the year. I also do my ordering on line, but my dreaming, planning, and selecting with the catalogs.

Curious if Baker's will do their deal again of "order more than $50 and get the Whole Seed Catalog for free" deal.

I haven't been to the Post Office in nearly a week. I'll bet there will be a key to another, bigger box in my box holding the overflow. That happens to me a couple of times this part of the year. I really should check the box out more often.

I have been getting the Burgess catalogs.

Surely their list of companies weren't so stupifyingly long, just a few years ago! Who owns What link

What is a mailing list worth? Don't we all have access to everyone's mailing address and shopping interests ..? If they are all owned by just a few conglomerates, I'm not sure what the paper catalog networks mean, anymore! Are they becoming quaint artifacts?

When you are through with your catalogs, take them to church. The 4 & 5 year olds love to cut out pictures and paste them on construction paper. I used to teach Sunday school and would use magazine pictures to illustrate things to be grateful for, God blesses us with good food and pretty flowers and the children just loved it.

i got Territorial earlier this week. i'm hoping the Southern Exposure catalog comes soon. i always like their cute catalog covers.

i probably won't get anything from the catalogs this year. i should be good since i've been going crazy with one of my favorite suppliers & his tomato varieties. (realized i have about 40 varieties i got from him this past fall/winter) i just got some seeds this morning in the mail for 2 types of peas and some pumpkins i've been eyeing the past 2 years, and they sent me some surprise seeds i was eventually going to get. :thumbsup i wish they included some of those beautiful morning glory seeds they have listed.

i need to do an inventory before i order anything else! the paper catalogs keep me from impulse buying
