I got everything neatly inventoried a few weeks ago, by category and listing number of seeds, year collected, etc.

Now going through and actually deciding what will be planted... Aye, yai, yai!

Eeegads! You are so organized Journey! I thought I was doing good by making the ziplocs that hold all the related categories stand up neatly in rows instead of the stirred up pile they had been.

I decided to spare the Seed Hoarders thread this picture:

Everything is upstairs for the moment. That's last year's inventory sheet (two column, double-sided) on top the legal pad. I've got all the info off those pages and onto a computer file --- soon, soon -- I will have it on a nice clean white sheet of paper like that so I can carry it around! That will make the inventory handy while completing the catalog browsing.

Yes, I know ! Finding that seed won't be easy when it comes to a trip to the garden but --- honestly! -- there is some organization in that horrid mess! At least, it's all on paper.

Hiding your hoarder problem in another thread, disguised as organized inventory, good one! :D
Growing as much as you do, I'm sure it helps to get as organized as you can.

Love the wicker baskets! I used to use them also, but they don't stack very well. I did some organizing last year, boy does that help... but I don't think I would ever be organized enough to actually inventory everything. I go from memory mostly, if that worked better I wouldn't have so much to inventory. :\

And, here I have the new inventory on the far right side :).

Nine seed orders from last year are under the major seed catalogs for 2015! My kitchen table isn't very big but I've got a good reach from the LazyBoy ;).

Onions and snapdragons will be first but one of my varieties have been discontinued. Shoot. Choices amongst others may lead me away from that outfit for the year. That'll teach 'em!

Gettin' an idea which direction to head, with those onions & snaps gettin' here soonest ... but first, gotta stretch my legs!

Steve :)

I made a seed box last year with cards marked and stood them up so I could see them better. The stirred up pile was not working for me either.

My family thinks I am nuts. I told them it is getting time to start onions, but I better get to ordering.

Now that's better, you are in the home stretch! But 9 seed catalogs! I get confused trying to get 4 orders together. I'm always afraid they will run out of some things if I wait too long to order.
I have however impressed myself lately by remembering to write the number of seeds left in a partially used packet. Yay me.

Spending a few days (maybe weeks ) trying to re-organize my sewing/craft room. It most likely would have even spooked the best of the hoarders.

I wish my craft room were as organized as my seed stash. LOL

Time is running out to get those inside chores done!
