@dewdropsinwv I guess pics of my "snow dusted" home and yard are ridiculous to you when you are looking at a freakin' frozen river! One day off from school versus weeks! :epI suppose you could finally cave in and move to TEXAS?? :lol:

@HunkieDorie23 looking at Atlanta on the news. Looks like Houston last week. People stranded in their cars, walking away from their cars, kids spending the night at their schools......... :barnieI feel for ya'. THIS IS WHY WE DON'T LIVE IN THE NAWTH!!!! We choose to live in the sultry heat and triple digit numbers because we don't want to live in single digit numbers! Or worse than that, minus numbers!:th

We are going to get up to 46* today, back down to 21* tonight. But the rise in temperature should melt the rest of our ice/sleet storm from yesterday. Then Friday it will be back up in the 70's, but it's going to rain all weekend. :(:(

I got a text last night from the boss saying that we'd probably be closed today and that he'd let us know for sure in the morning. I got up at 4am to find about 4" of snow. Hadn't heard from him by the time I had taken care of all the outside critters and around 8am I was settlin' down in the recliner under a 'dog blanket' for a day of Hallmark movies when the text came in. "Open at 10:00". Crap! Roads all pretty clear here. So far, not a single truck. Good chance to catch up on all the TEG stuff.

There is nothing like Southern whine. The day here is clear and sunny. Should get up to near 20 degrees (F) to the positive side of zero. Tomorrow should be downright balmy at an expected 31 degrees. Of course the clouds and wind will spoil some of the fun as predicted snow returns to Wisconsin yet again.

More snow for us, but no panic here! 4" have fallen so far today, and supposed to keep coming down on and off for the next couple days.

We actually got above freezing yesterday, barely and briefly, but it was sunny and felt wonderful!
Now we are getting 6 more inches of ugly! I have no idea what our total is and I really don't want to think about it!

Snow cone anyone ... flavors available... all you can eat...:D

Bay', I really appreciate your responses to all the ribbing :).

We finally got some more snow! Just in time to keep me from reporting the 100% loss in my yard of what 1st fell in early December. WS said 3" & there might be another 3/4" this morning.

Real light stuff. A good wind would carry it, oh I'd say, just about to Minnesota, Zone 4/5.

@digitS' ... I KNEW I should have put up a snow fence! :D
Happy you are not getting the ice tho!

Some of our lakes are really in need of some extra precip, so I should just shut up and deal with it. But I'm a Minnesotan... ya either love or ya hate it!

" . . . 10 to 30 degrees below average for the Upper Midwest..." ~ Weather Service.

Whoa! What does this mean??

Record low temperatures for folks there?? What is it like to have record low temperatures in the Upper Midwest???
