looking good there! and so nice to have a willing and able helper too! :)
Haha. She said "no more" after the 5 holes. I have three friends coming out on Sunday to help me but at this point I'm really thinking about renting a dingo with a auger attachment and just putting my bit on there to help make this happen faster. Doing this myself seemed like a great idea and next year we'll start earlier, but right now I need it done faster

Rent one. We put in a fence in 2000, and did it ourselves with a manual auger. It took me 2 days to dig all of the 8 holes and put in the 8 ft wooden posts.
Our weekend was a profitable one :). I had a friend come over and together we got about 80 done. 75 to go :). I think the saturated dirt was the main beginning issue

50 pots left to backfill and get in the ground and 100 plants to get in the ground. Then there's still another 100 for the property ;)

Irrigation is also installed, which was basically the big hurdle. Whew!!

It's been a BUSY summer, but it's getting close :)

So like I said before, a local nonprofit purchased some trees from me and I got the opportunity to make my first sale and delivery of trees via canoe. 11 catalpas delivered to an island that a few months prior was covered in buckthorn

My friend Andrew steadying one of the trees as a volunteer packs dirt

I have done work with this group for the last decade, so that was an amazing way to close out a summer :). As a child I canoes once or twice and then when I started working with this group I was reintroduced to it and it sparked a huge love which has now sent me on annual trips into the BWCA, so delivery via canoe was an amazing opportunity :)

Since then it's been tucking the trees in

and letting them sleep for the winter
