This morning my wife and I went grocery shopping for the Thanksgiving feast as we are having to feed 27 people. Here in SW Washington the grocery store turkey adds range from $1.19 / lb.with $50 purchase , $1.69 / lb. , and $ 1.99/ lb. which is about double from last year. These prices hold true at Albersons too depending on the brand. Then rounding a corner in another part of the store there is another freezer and lo and behold there is a sign reading buy one turkey -- get one free with a $35 purchase! ... we chose two Honeysuckle brand turkeys both @ 21 lbs. each that cost us $24.94 for 41.92lbs of turkey which equates to $0.59 / lb. .
So keep your sharp eyes out for this type of in- store offers.
