Yes bumbles are ground hunters and all over the pastures are bumblebees and in the flower garden too. I can’t mow without trying to avoid them. They nest in ground holes abandoned by mice voles etc. they seem to like sleeping this time of year in flowers, they eat nectar and pollen and fall asleep on the flowers. Lil piggies and they are my fav insect.
