Nice harvest Kassaundra, those pattypan make me want to plant some next year. I'm surprised you haven't gotten any tomatoes, was it heat that made it a bad year for you? I've had a very dismal tomato year here, in my case it was too cool for too long.
Yes two months of over 100 and a lot of that at 110, and no rain. I managed to keep several tomato plants alive and healthy even through all that, and the plants now are huge and gorgeous, but just now putting on a couple of small green tomatoes, like about the size of my thumb. Not sure how big they will get before killing frost, that will depend on if it is late or not, and how successful I am at keeping them through the first one, b/c then we should have several weeks of good weather.

How do you get raspberries in the fall? Mine only bloom and bear in the spring.

I am currently filling every spot w/ radish, the only thing I still have time for, found several recipes for cooking radish, also radish kimchi I may try.

More OT chit-chat . . .

Kassaundra - My best friend in the whole wide world (is that a BFF?) lives between Drumright and Cushing off Rt-99. He and I were in DaNang in '68 and we were the only two that survived an attack on our group in the "new year" offensive.

That is cool I love small world stories. Sorry about the loss of your friends.

This is only part of the okra, and doesn't show the armloads of greens I took to the chickens. (strong flavor that we don't like)

Love picking, never gets old, wish I could say the same for processing!!!! :bee
