Wow Kassaundra, I'm impressed! Those zuchinni look hugh! What are you going to do with all that okra? And I love those pattypans. I tried growig the golden ones but they didn't do well.

digits, yes charentias melons, they have been very tastey all season long. They are the perfect size for two. I will definately replant, and also look for a good green fleshed that is the same size. And thanks, I think it's making up for the almost 3 months of doing nothing during our huge heat wave/drought.

mary, yes the zuchs got to big, I was working when I needed to harvest, but they will still be good for what I use them for, I can't eat regular pasta so I julienne slice them (w/ a peeler) and freeze them for my spagehti noodles for the year. As for the okra I'm not sure, I planted it for the chickens, but have tried giving it to them in many different ways and they are still refusing to eat it (the absolute only thing I have found they don't like). The patty pans have gone bonkers this year, I have frozen as much as I have room for (I really need another freezer) then I started coating them in powdered sugar and cinnimon and dehydrating them, that is amazingly good, but takes about 24 hrs per batch.

Well we had a frost, the summer squash is pretty much done, but still trying to get a couple to seed harvesting stage, cukes too, picked all the hot peppers just before the cold snap, so they are done for too. Okra still going, I still have a couple of winter squash to pic, half the fall beans bought the farm w/o any harvest. Tomatoes may still give a handfull or so if it doesn't have another cold snap for a couple of weeks. Pod peas are still alive, root crops, and greens.

The small red radish is normal grocery store size, compared to the other radish.

I also harvested 4 arm loads of greens for the chickens, and a 5 gal bucket of pears.
