Mmmm, I'm eating yummy radishes right now, just had two. I love them, and they are especially sweet this spring. Cherriette and the Easter Egg type are coming in right now.

Reinbeau & karanleaf,

Try eating them with chilled butter & sea-salt crystals with fresh home-made bread. SIMPLE but the food of the gods -- especially if eaten outside with a glass of wine

I like radish and butter sandwiches, too! (Does that get me into the family ;)?)

And, I may have a champagne appetite but only a beer income.

Wow! Where are you getting those varieties, Catalina?

I've only heard of the last 3 and only grown the Bloody Butcher (and again this year :)).

Welcome to the family brother digitS' -- I'm sure karanleaf will welcome you too. I'm honoured that the King of the Veggies will join us 'gals'. Actually I like radishes with beer too, especially my favourite "Old Peculiar"! :celebrate

Catalina, that is quite a list if tomatoes :bow I think I'm growing 5 or 6 varieties. I must look up the names. Is "Pineapple" the Hawaiian heirloom tomato?

I've sown some spinach, melon, a gourd called ........Fog (can't remember the first name -- my mind is going). :old :idunno

We had more showers this afternoon but they didn't last long. Between them I managed to plant squash on hills.

My roses are really coming out now "Guinee" & "Etoile de Holland", both deep red & smelling wonderful. "Golden Showers" is just opening by my front door. "Fred Loads", named after an English gardener that I can remember on the TV gardening programmes of my youth !!!!! :old It is an amazing deep pink - it is one of the few modern roses that I have because I inherited it with the house.

More & more bees are about, so good to see them. :bee :bee :bee

Happy Gardening eveyone :happy_flower

I bought the seeds from Baker's Creek ~ http://rareseeds.com/seeds/ . They have a lot of different seeds. I also planted Plum Lemon and Green Grape.

ETA: How do you like Bloody Butcher? I love the name!
