what's your gas prices down too?

He also has a 4 cylinder and takes a rider so he's able to use the carpool lane. Not totally free but he does save a lot in bridge tolls.
You mean he pays a lower toll with another commuter along with burning less gas by having a car with good gas mileage?

Shifts the tax support for the bridges and highways to owners of larger cars.

Yes, that's right Steve. I remember a couple years ago when the car pool lane was free. Bridge toll now is $6 but my husband pays $2.50 if he has a rider. If he took public transportation to work it would cost him $12.80 per day and take an hour to get there. He figures paying $2.50 bridge toll, gas, and wear and tear on his car, and getting there in 20-25 minutes is well worth it.

Mary in 2006 my friend Eric made a movie about the golden gate bridge called The Bridge. He spent a year filming people jumping off. 20/20 called it a snuff film, he was deeply hurt by that. He was trying to bring awarness and change to the bridge.

While our mid sized, V6, Sonata was in sick bay awaiting a new wheel transplant ( a wheel was sent to our shop was for a Toyota, so had to reorder... we rented a compact Mazda with a 4 cylinder motor for a week. Had to return it due to it making a weard noise in the trany. Gave 25.8 mpg. We then rented a compact Toyota, with a 4 cylinder motor which gave us 25.1 mpg. Both were just OK to drive in town but gave one a neck/ back jolting at above 45mph . The mazda was worse than the Toyota. So just OK to drive in town or short highway commute, but would NOT be advised for a several hour trip. I would have to have a sauna , a masage and an adult beverage to recoup. Our mid sized Sonata is rated at 27mpg but we got 24.7mpg in Cal.... BUT due to the gasoline blend that is mandated by the EPA for the PNW, we had to adjust the timing or wouldn't go up a small upgrade and only get 21.4 mpg. We have driven it for 14- 15 hours straight one way from the PNW to Central Cal. and back 4 times now and never had those aching issues.

I just bought my first 4 cylinder a Honda CRV and love it. It is a joke to fill up compared to my old SUV. Car has all the power I need. My 1971 8 cylinder El camino you could watch needle in gas gage move as driving.

did notice that a good majority raised there prices a couple cents per this afternoon....

I wonder if the snowstorm had anything to do with that Major. In weather emergencies gasoline can become a bit more precious and supplies might be disrupted. It's normally a good thing to fill your gas tank before the storm hits. Why not price gouge a bit if you can?

I remember when prices were high and it took $80 to fill my Tahoe. Now it's more like $45. Thank goodness a tank lasts me several weeks.
