I think this whole site is fantastic for all it's info. Since I found it I have been constantly exploring it's sidebar. It's a wonderland of information..!!
Yes, I love the Mudchute Farm site ! I am going to tell some friends to take their kids there in the Easter holidays.

By the way, boggy, congratulations on your growing haul of used windows -- I'm very jealous........ ;) ...... but glad for you....!

Don't know if you've "run across" this site yet... I got to it by "plundering" in side links to your last link (I think):

I thought you might be interested in this article on the chef who is in charge of the restaurant at the Mudchute Farm. Just goes to show how pebbles cast into water make ripples that affect so many people's lives...!!

Let us all cast a few pebbles for the good & important things in life...!! :weee

There is so many places in the UK with such unusual names....it's hard to try and visualize them and pictures sure do help. LOL

Good morning!

I've at last found a short video, made by Monty Don as part of a series of programmes called "Around the World in 80 Gardens."
Monty Don is a very well known gardener in the UK & has presented many gardening shows on TV here. He also used to be a rather well known jeweller before he took to gardening & writing books.

It was a wonderful series & I have never forgotten the progamme that showed gardens producing food in the capital.
This clip shows urban vegetable gardens in Havana, Cuba:

Edited later to add these links to more info on Cuba:
