That misting thing is a mystery around here too. Just be sure you’re not standing under a tree infested with aphids. That misting could be aphid pee. Yeap had a luncheon under a linden tree blooming , fragrance was like honeysuckle, and the mist was just under the tree…nowhere else… it was full of aphids…excreting the mist.🥴

Yuck.

No, the Weather Service counted it as 2/100 of an inch of rain.

With dust in the air every day, we don't have sprinkles even. It settles mud drops on exposed surfaces.

digitS', noticing that the larger, national WS is saying that we Northwesterners are having below normal temperatures. Nope. Highs here are about 5°F above normal and the low this AM was too. Guess they should think of this as something other than the NW even if we are less than 300 miles from salt water.

Rain this morning. Saw it on radar, sat and drank coffee too long, me and Eva went out to put away my riding and push mowers, just started raining as I drove my God mower and dragged the push mower into the carriage house,
Then the heavens let loose and it poured. Eva said, "we should go in". I said no, we'll wait. Then she said, "No, we Really should go in!"
So, I got wet. No the sun is out drying everything out. 90 degrees F for today's high. The heat breaks here on Sunday.

Mowed the pastures. Was a bit windy and dusty wore a mask and duster suit. Looked and felt like the Pillsbury Dough Boy. You know those white jumpsuits made of plastic. High fashion at its best . Right ladies ! You won’t find those KK ladies of Hollywood wearing anything this cheap and trendy this time of year..

Cleared the wild blackberries in a 50’x 125’ section. Saved a section for the horses to earn their purple noses. Set a couple mole traps & the squirrelimintator caught 2 ground squirrels. Cleared part of the roof from moss ‘A-La’ power washer. My hands are gonna be buzzing for days …it was a nice day .

foggy mornings, no rains. chance of rains starting tomorrow afternoon for a few days, but i'll believe it when i see it. i did water some plants yesterday just to make sure they weren't getting bone dry.

into the mid-80sF today and then low-80sF tomorrow - these will be the warmest days of the week the rest are forecast to get into the low to mid 70sF.

35⁰f (2⁰C) at the nearest Weather Underground volunteer – about 3/4 mile away. By 5:30AM, there was frost on top of the car in the driveway. Really, the driveway is the most exposed part of the yard. The coldest moments of the day lately is about 7AM so I sprang into action.

Ran sprinklers in 2 parts of the garden for 20 minutes. These weren't the most efficient sprinklers but I wanted more water quickly. Turned them off and gave them 5 minutes on again about 30 minutes later. Maybe unnecessary, maybe washed a little light frost off. Tender veggie annuals seem fine. Flowers were on their own since I wanted all the water pressure elsewhere.

Forecast looks good for tomorrow AM. Bright and sunny, warming quickly and I'm late for a second breakfast :).
